Cambridge
Medical Seminars.
Updating colleagues on the evolving general medicine landscape — from Cambridge, for the wider medical community, since 2006.
In 2006, two Cambridge Consultant Physicians founded Cambridge Medical Seminars as a twice-yearly series of medical seminars to update the medical fraternity on the rapidly changing clinical and academic landscape that encompasses general medicine today.
Our hospital doctors’ meeting covers clinical medicine in depth from a tertiary-care perspective — for hospital physicians, internal medicine and specialty trainees, and any doctor with an interest in keeping current.
Independent educational meetings, run by a partnership of Dr Joseph Cheriyan and Dr Fraz Mir. Cambridge meetings are approved for CPD by the Royal College of Physicians (London). Recorded talks are not externally accredited.
From 2019 to 2023 we ran a flagship collaboration between the Royal College of Physicians (London) and the Sunway Healthcare group. After two in-person seminars in Malaysia in 2019, it continued through the COVID pandemic as a series of 17 webinars (2020–2023) — the material remains freely available on the RCP Player. 2026 marks our 20th anniversary — with 40 face-to-face Cambridge meetings and 17 Sunway-RCP webinars since 2006. Our next meeting, Acute & General Internal Medicine November 2026, takes place at AstraZeneca Discovery Centre, Cambridge on 28 November 2026.
