About these terms

These terms apply when you create an account, book a meeting or rent a recorded talk on cambsems.org, run by Cambridge Medical Seminars, a partnership of Dr Joseph Cheriyan and Dr Fraz Mir, Level 3, ACCI Building, Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 0QQ.

Membership

Membership is free and there are no recurring charges. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.

Booking a meeting

• You need an account to book. Your booking is confirmed when payment is complete and you receive a confirmation email.
• The price shown at checkout is the price for your booking. Please make sure the details on your account, including your employer, are correct.
• All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). If you pay with a card issued outside the UK, your card provider converts the amount into your currency and may charge a fee.
• The meeting fee includes lunch, tea, coffee and refreshments, a CPD certificate, and access to recordings of the talks where available for 30 days.
• The dinner is optional and booked separately from the meeting.
• We may need to change speakers, timings or the venue. If we have to cancel a meeting, you will receive a full refund.

Cancellations and refunds

• You can cancel and receive a full refund up to 2 days (48 hours) before the meeting starts.
• Cancellations made less than 2 days before the meeting, or non-attendance, are not refundable.
• Dinner bookings: cancel at least 14 days before the meeting for a refund of the dinner fee. With less than 14 days' notice the dinner fee is not refundable.
• To cancel, email cambsems2006@gmail.com with your name and the meeting. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 working days.

CPD certificates

Cambridge meetings are approved for CPD by the Royal College of Physicians (London); certificates are issued to delegates recorded as attending.

Recorded talks are not externally accredited. Their certificates confirm that you watched the talk and completed the short reflection; you may self-certify the CPD points shown, in line with your professional body's guidance.

Recorded talks (pay-per-view)

• A rental gives one person personal access to a talk or a seminar day for the period shown when you buy it (normally 7 days from payment).
• Rentals are for your own use only. Recording, downloading, sharing your login or showing talks to a group is not allowed.
• Because access starts straight away, rentals are not refundable once started. If a talk will not play and we cannot fix it, we will refund you.

Using the site

• Please keep your password private. We may suspend accounts that are misused.
• The "Ask us" chat is an automated helper for questions about CMS only. It does not give medical advice, stores nothing, and the CMS team does not receive your questions. It may occasionally be wrong; the meeting pages and these terms take priority.
• Talks reflect the speakers' own views and are for education, not individual medical advice.

Liability and law

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
